Shame, Shame, Shame

You know what peeves me so much? When people do not even bother to stand up or stop what they're doing when the National Anthem is being played. Such was the case earlier when A and I watched Finding Neverland in Greenbelt 3 Cinemas. What annoys me even more is this couple were obviously:
1) Pinoy. It's a shame really because I've seen expats, tourists and foreigners respect our flag and National Anthem yet those who are children of this land cannot even stand to honor their country?! They even had the gall to look around and see if the handful of people in the cinema were standing. (I think the guy saw me staring at them yet he didn't even bother to pull himself and his girlfriend up! They just began digging into their take out out food and savor the nachos!)
2) From well- off families as can be seen by the gadgets they were carrying, the clothes they were wearing, the food they brought into the cinema. It just goes to show that there can be people from well off families who are properly educated but not bred.
I was soooo tempted to march up to them and tell them off. Of course, I didn't.
I hope to God that their mothers see them and throw them over their knees and give them a good spanking!

Another thing I hate is when they don't turn off their celphones then they even take the call! Talk about no breeding. Whatever happened to courtesy? We were at this chorale concert and someone's phone rang - good thing the chorale didn't go off-tune!
Wow, I've never seen such patriotism.
Personally I find it quite funny that a national anthem is played before the the movie begins. But nevertheless, of course I'll stand up out of respect (is it optional to put your right hand on your chest?)
On another note, seriously, after reading your post ages ago (I think it was you) about Greenbelt 3 (cleaner, better chairs). My fiancee and I always go there now for movies instead of SM Megamall. Thanks for the tip!
i stand too... pero un na nga yung iba tlga walang proper etiquette... esp when they use their mobiles. hindi ko alam kung hindi nila alam na distracting yun... eh hindi mo naman pwede ulitin yung movie, so u end up more frustrated. hay, onli in the philippines?
Kakainis naman yan. It's all about basic respect right? Some people have no breeding whatsoever.
You know im also quilty for this, especially when I go to late night movies.
But yes, some people don't just give a damn
